Holly Thompson's affinity for interior design came at an early age when she would tag along with her mother to the annual High Point Market, a prominent interior design trade show in North Carolina. While most children would have dreaded being dragged around a ten-million square foot furniture showroom, Holly developed an interest and appreciation for the various characteristics and trends in furniture and design and a creative intuition was born. It wasn't long before she began putting her newly-acquired talents to work by routinely rearranging the furniture, textiles and art in her mother's home, much to both her delight and chagrin.
After graduating from the College of Charleston with a degree in Historical Preservation and Interior Design, Holly built a successful practice in Charleston, where she designed some of the most distinguished homes and commercial spaces in the burgeoning city. As word of her natural ability to seamlessly combine comfort, form and function got out, demand for her work grew up and down the eastern seaboard- from as far north as Boston all the way to Abaco, where she's had a family home for nearly two decades.
Holly has two children from a previous marriage; her son McMillan is attending the prestigious Citadel Military College of South Carolina where he enjoys playing tennis for the Bulldogs; her daughter Elizabeth is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has her sights set on attending Parsons School of Design in NYC. Both children enjoy spending time with their blended and extended family in Hope Town. email@example.com
